The tools and techniques a Project Manager uses gets the job done well – within scope, budget and time. Nothing is more important in these economically challenged times. This interactive 3 session class (4 hours each) examines the core concepts of project management, looks at successful municipal project characteristics and portrays the similarities and differences between the municipal and private industry environments.

While this course introduces project activities within the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework, it also helps develop primary project manager skills through
both lecture and small group exercises with the intent that these be applied in the real life workplace. It is designed to introduce and refresh fundamental knowledge for participants who have responsibility in project performance.
