Information Technology Support Information technology support is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. The demand for qualified information technology support specialists is expected to increase much faster than average, reflecting the rapid evolution of technology. Because these positions typically require constant interaction with other computer personnel, customers, and employees, employers seek individuals who have strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Bellevue College’s information technology programs bring together experts in applications, servers, scripting and networks to provide the most up-to-date training curriculum available. The classes emphasize learning by doing and utilize hands-on exercises and labs to teach the skills most in demand by employers today. Bellevue College’s instructors are experienced professionals currently working in the field. Classes may be taken individually, or as part of an Information Technology Support Program.

Information Technology Support Certificate Programs

Bellevue College offers two Information Technology Support Certificates:

  • Desktop Support

  • Network Support

The Desktop Support Certificate Program prepares the student for a career working with computers and users to get the most out of a company’s information technology resources. Courses cover beginning and advanced techniques for installing and troubleshooting computers and software in a networked, high-demanding environment. The program provides skills needed in computer repair and end-user support, including support for common applications.

A computer is only as good as the network it’s connected to, and a network is only as good as its servers. The Network Support Certificate Program offers the key network and server skills needed to build and maintain a fast, secure, dependable information technology system. The program provides the fundamental knowledge needed to start a career in network design and troubleshooting, and the opportunity to strengthen, expand, and document your skills.

The Information Technology Support Certificate Programs were designed with the input of industry professionals to target the skills employers value most. Our flexible programs allow you to start any time you like and complete at your own pace, taking as few as one to two classes a week. Each program can be completed in as few as 18 months or as long as three years.
