project managersThe Bellevue College Project Management curriculum was developed by local project management experts, and provides skills you can use to enhance your career and improve the productivity of your workplace.

Courses offer tools and techniques for delivering quality products on time and within budget, as well as instruction on increasing leadership and team building skills. Classes can be taken individually, or as part of a Project Management certificate program.

Project Management Certificate Program

The Bellevue College Project Management Certificate Program is based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) Guide. Bellevue College is a Project Management Institute (PMI®) Registered Education Provider.

Program instructors have professional project management experience, and classes offer the practical, real-world skills most in demand in today's workplace. Participants can choose electives from a broad range of subject areas-including Management, Finance and Human Resources—to customize the certificate to individual career needs.

Our flexible program is designed to accommodate working professionals. You can start any quarter and complete at your own pace. Most participants finish the program in three quarters.

Career Outlook

  • A 2007 Project Management Institute survey of U.S. salaries for Project Management Professionals (PMP®), compared with non-PMPs, shows that beginning project managers on average make $3,000 to $4,000 more a year than non-certified project managers.
  • A 2008 study from Foote Partners indicates the pay premium for project management certification among IT professionals is 20.3 percent.
  • The salary for project managers varies depending on education, experience and geographic area. Online resources can provide current salary information, as well as details about the project management job outlook.
