Bellevue Community CollegeFulfilling the need for an accessible institution of higher education in the Eastside communities, Bellevue Community College set up temporary operations at Newport Senior High School in January of 1966 with just 464 students. Doors were eventually opened in the fall of 1969 for a permanent main campus, at 3000 Landerholm Circle S.E. in Bellevue .

From these humble beginnings Bellevue Community College has grown into the third largest institution of higher education in the State of Washington, enrolling over 19,000 students per quarter. It sends more transfer students to four-year schools than any other community college and also offers the largest and most diverse selection of Continuing Education courses in the state.

While Continuing Education classes are available at various locations throughout the Eastside, administrative offices and much of the program's classroom space is located centrally at the North Campus. Conveniently located near the intersection of I-405 and SR-520 ( 10700 Northup Way , Bellevue ), the North Campus is also home to :
